Chardonnay, Crab & Lots of Butter
Dungeness crab season was once again delayed this year but now it is in full swing and it’s high time for you to host a crab crack at home! There are few better pairings we can think of than La Cruz Chardonnay and Dungeness with Lemon Butter. Crab cracks are simple, just source your crab, melt you butter and uncork your wine.
Makes 4 servings
Ingredients:
4 large Dungeness crabs, cleaned and cracked (about 2 lbs each)
2 sticks salted butter
1 large lemon, juiced
Method:
Step 1: Purchase your Dungeness crabs from a local fishmonger, ask them to clean and crack them for you to make your life easier.
Step 2: Bring crabs up to room temperature while you prepare the butter. In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt butter. Reduce the heat to low and skim the foam from the top. Stir in the lemon juice and remove from heat.
Step 3: Enjoy with Chardonnay!
